Getting to the end of the month and I have not yet done an August post. Only two days left. I thought that this would be the first month without a post as not ready yet for one about Pinot Noir. (That will be in next month).
So a very short post this month about new rules and regulations on being in France, and bringing back wine.
Wine Limit
I have updated the permanent page ‘My Agenda – More than a booze cruise‘ with details about the new limits when bringing wine back from France to the UK. In short, it is now 18 litres which is the equivalent of 24 x 75cl bottles. More than the 2 bottle limit that some of you may remember, and I still think it is worth going over there to buy wine, and do other things as well.
Pass Sanitaire
To go into bars, restaurants, and theatres in France, you need a Pass Sanitaire.
This shows that you have had your two vaccination jabs. I assumed that my little card showing the dates when I got mine jabs would be sufficient.
However this is not acceptable. One must get a document from the NHS with a QR code. This can then be scanned into the ‘TousAntiCovid‘ app available for download on phones. I have not done this yet, so cannot advise exactly what to do. But I would check up on further details before heading over to France. I will not be going over until late October at the earliest. I am hoping that the Covid rules will be more relaxed by then. But if I have to go through the process of getting the Pass Sanitaire, I will update this post.
