Nausicaá, the biggest aquarium in Europe

If you are spending some time in Boulogne, you really really must go to Nausicaá.
It is advertised as the biggest aquarium in Europe. Is it the best? The only other one in Europe that I have been to is the London aquarium. No contest there, Nausicaá is better. I can only say that it is very very good. (The one that I went to in Cape Town might just be better, but only very marginally).
If you go, you must allow a minimum of two hours to walk around. Remember that there are two separate sections. So do not make the mistake (I nearly did) of just walking around the large tank, with the sharks and rays, and miss out on the second section.

Don’t forget, after you have walked around the large tank, with the sharks and rays, there is another whole section, with lots of smaller tanks.

You can put your head in a ‘bowl’ to get a real feel of what it is like to be with these fish (see above).

The seals kept swimming, so it was hard to take a good picture.
